May 27, 2008 - Hyderabad:
Four Soft Limited (NSE: "FOURSOFT", BSE:
532521), Hyderabad, India represented by DSAT Thailand,
a global leader providing software solutions for transportation
and logistics verticals, announced today that it has
been chosen by PTT Polymer Logistics Co. Ltd. (PTTPL),
a company of PTT Group, Bangkok, to deploy its transportation
application - 4S eTrans across PTTPL’s multiple
locations in Bangkok, to support its trucking business.
4S eTrans is built on the modern J2EE
technology. It is an on-line web-based application
and seamlessly integrates air, ocean and truck operations
with inbuilt freight accounting module. The software
automates the multi-mode transportation functions
and offers visibility of the goods in several stages
of processing, both to the logistics providers and
their customers, at any given time.
PTT group is a Bangkok based company,
backed by Government of Thailand. PTT and its Petrochemical
subsidiaries have planned to expand their downstream
business in Petrochemical industry. These products
are also distributed both in domestic market and worldwide.
In order to have a better control over logistics activities
for this expansion, PTT Polymer Logistics Company
Limited (PTTPL) was established in September 2006
to provide full logistics service for PTT Petrochemical
subsidiary companies.
Mr Supachoke Liamkaeo, Managing Director,
PTTPL, Bangkok commented on the deal, “We were
assessing a software solution that will simplify the
operations, improve productivity and provide effective
services to our customers. We chose Four Soft for
its proven expertise in providing and implementing
such solutions across multiple customer locations.
We have devised rapid schedules to implement the software
across PTTPL’s multiple locations to run our
trucking business efficiently. By implementing 4S
eTrans, we hope to increase our operational efficiency
and take control of our logistics movements across
